Molekylers

Molekylers are a term used in some discussions of nanoscale science to denote discrete molecular units that can function as programmable building blocks in materials and devices. The concept emphasizes controllable structure, function, and interactions at the molecular level, allowing networks to be assembled from uniform modules.

The term is not standardized and appears mainly in speculative literature and early-stage proposals. In many sources, a molekler is described as a small, well-defined assembly of atoms with a core scaffold and functional groups that enable self-assembly, selective binding, and responsiveness to external stimuli. Sizes and compositions are variable, but the emphasis is on precise, repeatable behavior rather than broad chemical diversity.
