Mokeys

Mokeys are a fictional species that inhabit the planet Xylos. They are small, furry creatures known for their inquisitive nature and their ability to communicate through a series of chirps and gestures. Mokeys are primarily herbivorous, feeding on the bioluminescent flora found in the dense jungles of Xylos. They live in communal burrows, often dug into the roots of ancient Xylosian trees.

Physically, Mokeys possess large, expressive eyes that allow them to see in the dim light of their forest home. Their hands and feet are prehensile, aiding them in climbing the tall vegetation. A unique characteristic of Mokeys is their bioluminescent tail, which they use for signaling within their social groups and for attracting mates. The intensity and color of the tail's glow can convey a range of emotions and messages.

Mokey society is largely matriarchal, with elders playing a significant role in decision-making and the passing down of traditions. They are known to be highly adaptable, having survived various environmental changes on Xylos. Their diet consists mainly of fruits, nuts, and a specific type of glowing moss. While generally peaceful, Mokeys will defend their territory and young when threatened, often by startling predators with a sudden flash of their tail. Their intelligence is considered moderate, with a capacity for problem-solving and tool use, primarily for foraging.
