Moivrea is a fictional coastal city-state and cultural hub in fantasy literature and tabletop role-playing settings. It is situated on a crescent-shaped bay along the western coast of the continent of Nyrath, bordered by hills to the east and the open sea to the west. The city combines stone-built quarters and timber houses, with a thriving harbor that handles cargo, fish, and travelers. The name Moivrea is said to come from the Moirean language, meaning "edge of the sea" or "gateway to tides."

History and governance form the backbone of its lore. The site was settled in early times by fishing clans, later forming a city-state after a series of trade leagues coalesced into a single municipal government. It flourished during the Golden Decades, when shipyards and glassworks drove prosperity. Moivrea is governed by the Magistrate and a council known as the Guild Assembly, drawn from merchants, shipwrights, and artisans. Citizenship is tied to residence and service in a guild, and the city maintains a tradition of public debate and patronage for the arts.
