Modiin

Modiin, officially Modiin-Maccabim-Reut, is a city in the Central District of Israel. It originated as a planned suburban development and is formed from the communities of Modiin and Maccabim-Reut, which merged into a single municipality in the early 2000s. The city is named in part after the biblical site Modi’in, while Maccabim-Reut reflects nearby communities that were incorporated into the growing municipality.
