Mikrokuplats is a district and public square in the coastal city of Nordhaven, located in the fictional Nordic nation of Nordmark. The centerpiece of the district is Mikrokuplats square, a pedestrian-friendly space surrounded by historic townhouses, small shops, cafés, and a cultural center. The area serves as a local hub for commerce, social life, and public events.

The origin of the name Mikrokuplats is uncertain, with early references appearing in municipal records from the 18th century. Geographically, the district lies in the southern part of Nordhaven’s old town, near the harbor, and is bordered by the River Nord to the east and Main Street to the north. The built environment combines preserved façades with mid-20th-century renovations.

Historically, Mikrokuplats developed as a commercial hub around markets and crafts in the 19th century. After a period of decline, the area underwent a focused revitalization in the 2010s, which restored façades, widened sidewalks, and improved public space management. Today, it retains its historic character while accommodating contemporary amenities.
