Meszyklen
Meszyklen are the intermediate blocks within a macrocycle of athletic training, typically lasting several weeks, commonly four to twelve. They organize training around specific objectives, such as hypertrophy, strength, speed, or sport-specific skills, and help balance training load with recovery. In periodization theory, a macrocycle comprises multiple mesocycles and microcycles. The mesocycle provides a coherent block that progresses toward a defined goal, followed by a subsequent mesocycle with a different objective or a taper.
Common structures in mesocycles include accumulation, intensification, and realization (peaking). During accumulation, training volume is high
Planning and monitoring are essential aspects of mesocycle design. Coaches set target loads, track responses using
Applications of mesocycles span a wide range of sports, from endurance disciplines to team sports and individual
