Merkassets
Merkassets is a term used in discussions of digital asset management to describe assets whose identity, ownership, and history are anchored in Merkle-tree structures. In such systems, each asset or its state is represented as a leaf in a Merkle tree, and the Merkle root is published to a ledger or registry. Because a Merkle proof can verify that a given leaf is included in the tree without revealing all leaves, merkassets support efficient verification and lightweight auditing across large asset collections.
