Menningarsálfræði

Menningarsálfræði, often translated as cultural psychology, is a field of study that explores the ways in which culture shapes human cognition, emotion, and behavior. It differs from cross-cultural psychology, which typically compares psychological phenomena across different cultures, by focusing on how psychological processes are intrinsically interwoven with cultural context. Cultural psychologists argue that the mind is not a universal, independent entity, but rather is actively constructed through participation in a specific cultural environment.
