McGtxt

McGtxt is a messaging service that allows users to send and receive messages on an intra-continental level. Developed by McGill University students, the service gained popularity in the early 2000s as a means of communication amongst users of similar backgrounds and interests.

McGtxt was first introduced as an alternative to the existing SMS services provided by major carriers.
