Matults
Matults are a type of small, hardy perennial plant belonging to the genus *Matricaria*. While the term "matult" is not a widely recognized or standardized botanical classification, it is often used colloquially to refer to specific species within the *Matricaria* genus, most notably the pineapple weed (*Matricaria discoidea*) and the wild chamomile (*Matricaria chamomilla*, though this is more commonly and correctly referred to as chamomile). These plants are characterized by their daisy-like flowers, typically with white ray florets and yellow disc florets, though pineapple weed has a distinctive cone-shaped, rayless flower head.
These plants are native to Europe and Western Asia and have naturalized in many other parts of
