Maskindirektiv, commonly referred to in English as the Machinery Directive (Directive 2006/42/EC), is a European Union directive that sets essential health and safety requirements for machinery placed on the market or put into service within the EU. It applies to a broad range of machinery, including almost all new machines, safety components, and certain parts of machinery designed to be integrated with other equipment.
