Markobjekt

Markobjekt is a general term used in surveying, cartography, and geographic information systems to refer to a mapped feature that represents a location or area on the land. In practice a markobjekt can denote a physical feature such as a point, line, or polygon, and it is often used to model objects in cadastral maps, land registers, or spatial datasets. The term is commonly employed in contexts where map data are organized as discrete objects with geometry and attributes.

A markobjekt typically has a geometry that classifies it as a point (for example a survey marker or benchmark), a line (such as a road edge or boundary line), or a polygon (such as a parcel or land-use area). Each object may include attributes like an identifier, name, type, coordinates, accuracy, source, and timestamps.
