Maksukaavojen
Maksukaavojen, literally “payment formulas” in Finnish, refer to structured methods used by providers to determine charges for a product or service. These schemes are common in utilities, telecommunications, software-as-a-service, and digital platforms. A maksukaava typically combines several pricing elements: a fixed base fee charged regardless of usage; a per-unit or per-period charge tied to consumption or activity; and sometimes a minimum monthly charge to guarantee revenue. Many plans also incorporate tiered or volume-based pricing, where the per-unit price changes with higher usage, and discounts or surcharges depending on contract length, payment method, or promotional terms. Taxes and regulatory charges are commonly added at the end of the calculation.
