Macrotus
Macrotus is a genus of bats belonging to the family Phyllostomidae, commonly known as leaf-nosed bats. These bats are found in the Americas, ranging from Mexico southward through Central and South America. The genus currently contains two recognized species: Macrotus californicus, the California leaf-nosed bat, and Macrotus waterhousii, Waterhouse's leaf-nosed bat.
