Macaya

Macaya is a toponym most commonly associated with a mountain and surrounding protected area in Haiti. The peak, known as Pic Macaya or Montagne Macaya, lies in the Massif de la Hotte in the southwestern part of the country. With an elevation of about 2,347 meters, it is one of the highest points in Haiti and forms part of the island’s montane landscape.
