Maansiirtymistä
Maansiirtymistä refers to the movement of soil or rock from one location to another. This process can occur naturally through various geological and hydrological forces or be induced by human activities. Natural mass movements include landslides, rockfalls, mudflows, and creep. Landslides are rapid descents of a large mass of rock, earth, or debris down a slope, often triggered by earthquakes, heavy rainfall, or volcanic activity. Rockfalls occur when rocks detach from a steep slope and fall freely. Mudflows, or debris flows, are fast-moving currents of water-saturated earth and volcanic debris. Creep is a slow, gradual downslope movement of soil and regolith, often imperceptible in the short term.
Human-induced maansiirtymistä can result from construction, mining, deforestation, and improper land management. Excavation for roads, buildings,
