MMTTY
MMTTY is a popular freeware computer program used by amateur radio operators for transmitting and receiving radio teletype (RTTY) communications. Developed by Makoto Mori, JE3 HHT, MMTTY allows radio amateurs to operate RTTY modes directly from their computers. It interfaces with a ham radio transceiver and the computer's sound card. The software decodes and encodes the RTTY signals, displaying received text on the computer screen and converting typed text into audio signals to be transmitted. MMTTY supports various RTTY speeds and formats, including Baudot. Its user-friendly interface and robust performance have made it a staple for RTTY enthusiasts worldwide, enabling them to engage in text-based digital communication over the airwaves. The program is often used in conjunction with other logging or digital mode software. MMTTY's development has ensured its continued relevance and utility for the amateur radio community.
