Människorrättskonvention

Människorrättskonvention is a Swedish term that translates to "human rights convention." It refers to an international treaty or agreement that outlines fundamental human rights and freedoms. These conventions are legally binding instruments that aim to protect individuals from abuses by states and to promote universal respect for human dignity.

One of the most prominent examples of a human rights convention is the European Convention on Human Rights, adopted by the Council of Europe in 1950. This convention, along with its protocols, sets out a wide range of civil and political rights, including the right to life, freedom from torture, freedom of expression, and the right to a fair trial.
