Lösenordfrågor, often translated as security questions or recovery questions, are a common method used by websites and online services to verify a user's identity. They are typically set up during the account creation process or when a user chooses to enhance their account security. The user selects a question from a predefined list or sometimes creates their own, and then provides a specific answer. These questions are intended to be easily remembered by the legitimate user but difficult for an unauthorized person to guess.

When a user forgets their password, they can often initiate a password reset process by correctly answering one or more of these security questions.
