Oil heating was once more common but has declined due to environmental concerns and fluctuating fuel prices. Similarly, direct electric heating, while simple, can be expensive to operate, especially during peak demand. The choice of heating method often depends on factors like the age and insulation of the building, local infrastructure, fuel availability, and personal preference for cost, environmental impact, and convenience.
