Lánysejt

Lánysejt, also known as the "egg cell" or "ovum" in English, is a type of reproductive cell found in the ovaries of female mammals, including humans. It is one of the two types of gametes, the other being the sperm cell. Lánysejt is characterized by its large size and the presence of a prominent nucleus, which contains the majority of the cell's genetic material. The cytoplasm of the lánysejt is also extensive, providing the necessary nutrients for the developing embryo.

The process by which lánysejt is produced is called oogenesis, which occurs during fetal development and continues throughout a woman's reproductive years. Unlike sperm production, which is continuous, oogenesis is a cyclic process that involves the growth, maturation, and release of a single lánysejt each month during menstruation. If fertilization does not occur, the lánysejt is reabsorbed by the body, and the menstrual cycle continues.
