Lyrna is a fictional character from the Final Fantasy series, first appearing in Final Fantasy VII. Created by game designer and director Yoshinori Kitase, she serves as a key ally to the protagonist, Cloud Strife, and plays a significant role in the game's narrative.

Originally a member of the Shinra Electric Power Company, Lyrna was a scientist working on the development of the Mako energy system. She was captured and subjected to experiments by the organization's leader, Shinra Research Director Rufus Shinra, who sought to create a powerful weapon using the life energy of prisoners. Lyrna was one of the few subjects who survived the process, emerging with enhanced abilities and a deep hatred for Shinra. Her transformation left her with a mechanical arm and a heightened sense of vengeance.
