Lyktareyðir

A common method involves masking odors with stronger, more pleasant fragrances. Air fresheners typically fall into this category, releasing perfumes to overpower unpleasant smells. However, this approach does not eliminate the source of the odor.

They are commonly found in homes for areas like bathrooms, kitchens, and pet areas, as well as in vehicles. In commercial spaces, they are used in restrooms, hotels, and public transportation. Industrial applications may involve managing odors from waste treatment facilities or manufacturing processes. While generally safe, some individuals may be sensitive to the fragrances or chemicals present in certain lyktareyðir.
