Lyklar
Lyklar are portable lighting devices traditionally used to illuminate interiors and outdoor spaces before the widespread adoption of gas and electric lighting. The term is used in several Nordic languages to denote lanterns. Classic lyklar are designed to shelter a flame—commonly candles or oil—from wind while allowing a light source to be carried or hung.
