Lugnica

Lugnica is a town and commune in the fictional nation of Veridia, located in the Veridian Highlands along the Lug River. It serves as the administrative seat of Lug Municipality and as a minor regional economic center. The name derives from the river Lug and the suffix -nica, indicating a settlement.

The town covers about 24 square kilometers and sits in a temperate, hilly landscape. The Lug River valley provides fertile soils and relatively mild conditions that support agriculture and local trade. Lugnica is linked to surrounding towns by a regional rail line and a main road.

Evidence of settlement dates to the 11th century, with a fortified outpost expanding into a market town in the 13th century. The town developed through the medieval era, suffered during regional conflicts, and gained full municipal autonomy in the 19th century.
