Lorthemar

Lorthemar is a fictional character from the Warcraft universe, created by Blizzard Entertainment. He is a high elf and a prominent figure within the Blood Elf faction, the sin'dorei. Lorthemar serves as the Regent of Silvermoon City and the leader of the Blood Elves, holding this position after the death of King Anasterian Sunstrider.

His story is deeply intertwined with the history of his people. Originally a scout and ranger, Lorthemar witnessed the Scourge invasion of the elven homeland and the subsequent destruction of the Sunwell, the magical font that sustained his race. This catastrophic event led to the Blood Elves' desperate quest for power and their controversial alliance with the Burning Legion, a pact that ultimately brought them great suffering.

As Regent, Lorthemar has been instrumental in guiding the Blood Elves through a period of recovery and self-determination. He has focused on re-establishing the Sunwell, albeit in a corrupted form initially, and on rebuilding his fractured nation. His leadership has often been characterized by pragmatism and a fierce dedication to the survival and prosperity of the sin'dorei, even when faced with difficult choices and moral compromises.
