Looduskivislate
Looduskivislate, often referred to as natural slate, is a fine-grained metamorphic rock that splits into thin, durable sheets. It is formed from clay or shale subjected to low-grade regional metamorphism. This geological process involves heat and pressure over millions of years, realigning the mineral grains into layers that allow for easy cleavage. The resulting material is known for its distinctive appearance, which can vary widely in color and texture depending on the mineral composition of the original sedimentary rock and the specific metamorphic conditions.
The primary colors of looduskivislate range from grey, black, and green to red, purple, and even brown.
