Longyous

Longyous is a traditional Chinese musical instrument known for its distinctive, mellow sound and elegant design. Classified as a bowed zither, it belongs to the family of plucked string instruments, though it is played using a bow rather than plucking. The name "Longyous" (龙琴) translates to "Dragon Zither," reflecting its association with mythical dragons in Chinese culture, symbolizing power, wisdom, and harmony.

The instrument typically features a long, rectangular body made from wood, often adorned with intricate carvings or inlays. It has a curved neck extending from the body, which holds a series of metal strings stretched over a soundboard. The strings are usually tuned to a pentatonic scale, producing a serene and resonant tone.
