Locorotondo

Locorotondo is a charming town and comune in the province of Bari, in the Puglia region of southern Italy. Its name, meaning "round place," derives from its circular historical center, perched on a hilltop overlooking the Valle d'Itria. The town is renowned for its distinctive architecture, particularly the 'cummerse', traditional white-washed houses with steeply pitched roofs made of stacked stone slabs. These unique dwellings contribute to Locorotondo's picturesque appearance and its designation as one of Italy's most beautiful villages.

The historical center is a labyrinth of narrow, winding streets, adorned with colourful flowers and small artisan shops.
