Lisäkerroksin

Lisäkerroksin is a Finnish term referring to the practice or presence of additional layers on a surface, product, or structure. It stems from lisäkerros, meaning an extra layer, and the form lisäkerroksin is used to describe multiple layers or the act of applying them. The expression is common in technical and everyday language to indicate that more than one layer is involved.

In construction and architecture, lisäkerroksin typically describes extra coatings or coverings added to a surface. Examples include insulation layers, weather barriers, protective coatings, or finishing layers on walls, roofs, and façades. The goal is to improve thermal performance, moisture protection, durability, or aesthetics.
