Lirond is a fictional port city created for use in fantasy literature and role-playing games. It lies on the delta of the Brindle River along the eastern coast of the imagined continent of Eldoria. The harbor is sheltered by two promontories, and the city is divided into the Market Quarter at the waterfront and Citadel Hill, where a former fortress watches over the harbor. The local climate is temperate maritime, with mild winters and foggy springs.

Historically, Lirond began as a ninth-century trading post that attracted merchants, shipwrights, and sailors. It grew into a bustling mercantile center through guilds and maritime traffic, and endured sieges during regional conflicts before developing a degree of self-governance under a town council.

Governance is typically described as a representative Assembly responsible for laws and budgets, with a magistrate elected to administer executive power. The council meets in the Grand Hall within the Market Quarter, and guild influence remains strong in trade and crafts. The economy centers on fishing, timber, and shipbuilding, while trade in salt, wine, and grain is common at the harbor.

Notable sites include the Old Market, Northwatch Lighthouse, Citadel Hill, and the Grand Chapel of St. Aurelia. The demography is around 12,000 residents, primarily Lirondish-speaking, with regional dialects in merchant districts. Transportation relies on the harbor, river ferries, and a network of cobbled streets linking districts.
