Lavlandet is a fictional low-lying region in the northern European realm of Nordhavn. The name derives from the local language and translates as "the low land." The area is known for its flat terrain, extensive wetlands, and fertile soils, which have shaped settlement and land use.

Geography: The region extends along a coastal plain and inland river valleys with elevations typically below 50 meters. It features a network of rivers, canals and peat bogs, with a climate that is temperate and maritime-influenced, providing reliable rainfall.

History: Settled in the early medieval period, Lavlandet developed around agriculture and water transport. Drainage and embankment projects from the 17th to 19th centuries expanded cultivable land and reduced flood risk. In the 20th century, modernization integrated the lowlands into regional markets.
