Lateralización
Lateralización refers to the degree to which certain functions are localized in one hemisphere of the brain over the other. While the brain is divided into two hemispheres, the left and the right, they are not entirely symmetrical in their functions. This specialization is known as lateralization. For example, in most right-handed individuals, language processing, including speech production and comprehension, is predominantly handled by the left hemisphere. Conversely, the right hemisphere is often associated with spatial processing, facial recognition, and emotional interpretation.
The degree of lateralization can vary between individuals and even for different functions within the same
