Laitteistoympäristöt, or hardware environments, refer to the physical components of a computer system that enable it to function. These components include the central processing unit (CPU), which is the brain of the computer, performing most of the processing tasks. The motherboard serves as the central hub, connecting all other components and allowing them to communicate with each other. Random Access Memory (RAM) is used for temporary data storage while the computer is running, with larger amounts of RAM allowing for more multitasking and smoother performance. Storage devices, such as hard drives and solid-state drives (SSDs), are used for long-term data storage. Graphics processing units (GPUs) are specialized processors that handle rendering graphics and are crucial for gaming, video editing, and other graphics-intensive tasks. Input devices like keyboards and mice, as well as output devices like monitors and printers, allow users to interact with the computer and receive feedback. Power supply units (PSUs) provide the necessary electrical power to all components, while cooling systems, such as fans and liquid cooling, help maintain optimal temperatures to prevent overheating. Together, these hardware components form the foundation of a computer system, enabling it to perform a wide range of tasks and applications.
