LEDpaneeleista refers to LED panel lighting systems used in indoor spaces. These are flat, low-profile luminaires designed to provide uniform, diffuse illumination over a ceiling area. They are commonly installed in offices, retail environments, schools, and healthcare facilities.

Typical LED panels consist of LED light sources on a metal backplate, a light diffuser, and a constant-current driver. Two main configurations exist: edge-lit panels, where LEDs are placed along the perimeter, and direct-lit panels, which illuminate the front surface.

Performance characteristics include luminous efficacy, color rendering index, and color temperature. Modern panels offer about 80–120 lm/W, CRI values of 80–90, and CCTs from 2700K to 6500K. Many models are dimmable and compatible with smart controls.

Applications include modular ceiling systems, suspended grids, or recessed fixtures in offices, educational buildings, retail spaces, and healthcare settings. They provide uniform lighting with low glare and reduced energy consumption compared with traditional fluorescent fixtures.

Standards and environmental aspects: LED panels comply with IEC/EN 60598 for luminaires and IEC/EN 62031 for LED modules. They offer long service life, reduce electricity usage, and generally contain recyclable materials, supporting end-of-life disposal and sustainability goals.
