Köldstress

Köldstress, also known as cold stress, refers to the physiological and behavioral responses of organisms to cold environments. When exposed to low temperatures, animals and humans experience a range of adaptive mechanisms to maintain core body temperature and function. This can include shivering, increased metabolic rate, and vasoconstriction in the extremities to conserve heat.

Preventing cold stress involves providing adequate shelter, nutrition, and protection from the elements. For animals, this might mean insulated housing and energy-rich feed. In human contexts, appropriate clothing, warm environments, and awareness of cold weather hazards are crucial.
