Köhismist is a term used in Estonian to describe the act of coughing. Coughing is a natural reflex that helps to clear the airways of irritants such as mucus, food particles, or foreign substances. It involves a sudden, forceful expulsion of air from the lungs. Köhimist can be voluntary or involuntary.
