Kvantobjekti refers to the fundamental entities described by quantum mechanics. These are not the familiar objects of classical physics, like a billiard ball or a planet, which have definite positions and momenta. Instead, kvantobjekti exhibit properties that are often counterintuitive and probabilistic.

Key characteristics of kvantobjekti include their wave-particle duality, meaning they can behave as both waves and particles depending on how they are observed.
