Kuplintatestit

Kuplintatestit, also known as bubble tests, are a method used to detect leaks in a sealed system. The principle behind kuplintatestit involves applying a liquid or gas under pressure to the system being tested and then observing for the formation of bubbles. These bubbles indicate the presence of a leak, as the pressurized medium escapes through an opening. The most common application is in testing the integrity of welds, pipes, and containers.

For liquid-based kuplintatestit, a soapy water solution is often applied to the exterior of the suspected leak area. When the system is pressurized internally with air or another gas, any escape through a crack or faulty seal will cause the soapy water to foam, forming visible bubbles. Alternatively, the system can be filled with water under pressure, and leaks will be visible as escaping streams or droplets.

Gas-based kuplintatestit typically involve pressurizing the system with a gas, such as nitrogen or helium, and then using a leak detector, like a soap solution or a specialized electronic sensor, to identify areas where the gas is escaping. The sensitivity of gas-based tests can be very high, allowing for the detection of even microscopic leaks.
