Kuolemansyöjät, translated as Death Eaters in English, are a fictional group of dark wizards and witches in J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series. They are the primary antagonists and the devoted followers of Lord Voldemort, the series' main villain. Their ultimate goal is to seize control of the wizarding world and establish a new order where pure-blood wizards and witches dominate over those of Muggle-born or mixed heritage.

The Death Eaters are characterized by their dark robes and the prominent Dark Mark tattoo on their left forearms, a skull with a serpent protruding from its mouth. This mark serves as a symbol of their allegiance to Voldemort and also as a means of communication, as Voldemort can use it to summon them. Many Death Eaters were once students at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, often from families with a history of dark magic or prejudice.
