Kulturbåret is a Danish term that describes a year in which cultural life is prioritized through a coordinated program of activities across society. The concept is used at national, regional, and municipal levels to signal a deliberate emphasis on culture and to mobilize resources for cultural institutions, artists, venues, schools, and communities. The term emphasizes cultural breadth, accessibility, and participation within a defined time frame.

A program is developed around themes or overarching goals, and funding is allocated through grants, calls for proposals, and partnerships.
