Kudoskasvun
Kudoskasvun is a Finnish term that refers to tissue growth—the biological processes by which tissues increase in size or mass. It includes the enlargement of existing cells (hypertrophy), an increase in cell numbers (hyperplasia), and remodeling of the extracellular matrix that supports tissue structure. Kudoksen kasvu can occur during embryonic and postnatal development, after injury during healing and regeneration, or in response to sustained functional demands. It also covers changes in tissue composition that accompany these growth processes.
Kudoskasvun is driven by coordinated cellular and molecular mechanisms. Proliferation, differentiation, and survival of cells are
In development, kudoskasvun shapes organ size and function. In adults, it underlies tissue repair and regeneration
Researchers study kudoskasvun through histology, imaging, and molecular assays. Proliferation markers like Ki-67, measurements of cell
