Koszule

Koszule, the plural form of koszula, refer to shirts in general. In Polish, koszula denotes a garment worn on the upper body that is typically fastened at the front and includes a collar and sleeves. The term is used for a wide range of shirts, from casual to formal, and across different styles and fabrics.

A typical koszula features a front opening secured by buttons or studs, a collar, and cuffs. Variants include dress koszule with stiff or structured collars and long sleeves, as well as casual koszule with softer collars or short sleeves. Fabrics commonly used are cotton and linen, with blends and flannel for warmth. In traditional Polish dress, koszule can be elaborately embroidered and worn as part of folk costumes.

Styles and usage vary by context. Modern koszule are everyday garments for all ages and genders. Dress koszule are common in professional or formal settings and are often paired with jackets or suits, while casual koszule pair with jeans or chinos.
