Koostoimivus
Koostoimivus is a concept describing the capacity of components or actors to influence each other in a way that produces a joint effect greater or different from the sum of their separate actions. The term emphasizes interaction and emergent properties at the system level, rather than merely the presence of participants working together. In Finnish usage it is related to, but distinct from, general cooperation (yhteistyö), by focusing on how interdependent actions shape outcomes.
In science, koostoimivuus is often discussed in biochemistry and pharmacology as cooperativity: binding of one molecule
In management and organizational studies, koostoimivuus refers to how networks of teams, institutions, or stakeholders interact
Limitations include modeling complexity, coordination costs, and the risk of diminished flexibility if cooperation is over-engineered.
