Koordinátakészletek
Koordinátakészletek, often translated as coordinate sets or coordinate systems, are fundamental concepts in various fields, including mathematics, geography, and computer graphics. A coordinate system provides a framework for uniquely identifying the position of any point in a given space. This is achieved by assigning a set of numbers, known as coordinates, to each point. The number of coordinates required depends on the dimensionality of the space. For instance, a 1D space (a line) needs one coordinate, a 2D space (a plane) needs two, and a 3D space (our everyday reality) requires three.
The most common type is the Cartesian coordinate system, named after René Descartes. It uses perpendicular
In geography, coordinate systems are used to map the Earth's surface. Latitude and longitude are classic examples
