Koordineerides

Koordineerides are a proposed class of coordination compounds defined in some theoretical and educational contexts as species in which a central metal atom is bound by multiple ligands to form extended coordination frameworks. The term draws on the roots koordineer- (to coordinate) and the suffix -ides, and it is sometimes used to illustrate complex ligation patterns in teaching materials.

Koordineerides are generally described by a formula of the type M(L)n, where M is a transition or post‑transition metal and L represents polydentate or macrocyclic ligands.
