Kontrastisäädöllä refers to the process of adjusting the contrast in an image or display. Contrast is the difference in luminance or color that makes an object distinguishable from other objects and the background. In digital imaging, contrast adjustment is a common post-processing technique used to improve the visual appearance of an image by enhancing the range of tones. High contrast images have more distinct differences between light and dark areas, while low contrast images appear flatter with less separation between tones.

Adjusting contrast can be done through various methods.
