Kollisionsvarningar, also known as collision avoidance systems, are advanced driver assistance systems designed to help prevent or mitigate collisions by providing real-time warnings to the driver. These systems use a variety of sensors, including radar, lidar, and cameras, to detect potential hazards such as other vehicles, pedestrians, and obstacles. When a potential collision is detected, the system alerts the driver through visual, auditory, or haptic signals, allowing them to take corrective action.

There are several types of kollisionsvarningar, each with its own set of features and capabilities. Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) is a basic form of collision avoidance that automatically adjusts the vehicle's speed to maintain a safe following distance from the vehicle ahead.
