Koguharidale is a fictional valley and rural district in the northern highlands of the continent of Thaloria in the fantasy world of Elaria. It is described as a limestone-dominated basin with terraced fields, mixed conifer woodland, and a network of braided streams. The principal settlement, Koguhar, sits at the valley floor along the Kogu River, which widens into multiple channels in the lower reaches.

Geography and environment: The valley runs roughly 40 kilometers in length and is enclosed by the Greyback Range to the north and the Silverwood Forest to the south. The climate is temperate with cool winters and mild summers, moderated by elevation and prevailing westerlies. Soils vary from clay-loam on the hill slopes to alluvial deposits near the river. The area supports agriculture, forestry, and small-scale hydropower on a few seasonal runnels. Transport infrastructure centers on a single rural road and a former railway spur that serves mainly historical or tourist purposes in the present.

History and administration: Archaeological evidence points to permanent settlement in the early medieval period by pastoral communities later affiliated with the Haldren-era realms. In subsequent centuries, Koguharidale was incorporated into larger polities within Thaloria and, in the contemporary setting, is part of the municipal federation governing the Thalouter Vale. The valley has experienced occasional floods and landslides tied to regional weather patterns.

Economy and culture: Local activity focuses on agriculture (barley, potatoes, vegetables), dairy farming, and forestry. A small artisanal cheese cooperative operates in Koguhar, and tourism centers on hiking trails and the annual Harvest Day festival. The valley hosts a distinct local dialect and traditional crafts such as wood carving and weaving. Notable landmarks include the Kogu Bridge and the Old Mill ruins.
