Koduria

Koduria is a sovereign state on the southern coast of the fictional continent of Valoria. It covers about 54,000 square kilometers and has a population around 3.2 million. The capital is Valenport; the official language is Koduri.

The name Koduria derives from the Kod River and an ancient tribal confederation known as the Kodari.

Geographically, Koduria features a southern coastal plain, inland forests, and northern highland plateaus. The climate is temperate maritime with moderate rainfall, supporting agriculture and hydroelectric development along the Bodin River.

Koduria formed from rival principalities, achieving unified rule under a constitutional framework in 1843 and transitioning to a republic after a 1927 referendum, establishing a tradition of multi-party politics and formal checks and balances.

Koduria is a parliamentary republic with a president as head of state and a prime minister as head of government. The legislature is two-chamber, and the judiciary is independent.

The country is divided into six provinces: Arden, Lyr, Mirov, Novos, Ossia, and Valen. The economy is diversified, with agriculture, textiles, food processing, and growing renewable energy sectors.

Ethnic Koduri form the majority, with minority communities contributing to a multilingual culture. Public education is broad, and national holidays emphasize regional traditions, crafts, and civic participation.

Transportation includes a national rail network, highways, and southern ports. Valenport International Airport links Koduria with regional hubs; domestic ferries connect coastal towns and outer islands.
